課程概述 |
This course provides the introduction to Industrial Organization, including the study of the market structure and the theory of the firm. The focus will be on some basic theoretical models and related empirical studies in IO.
Prerequisites
1. Microeconomics I and II (ECON 2001, 2002)
2. Statistics and Econometrics I and II (ECON 2014, 2015)

The goal is to familiarize students with different market structures and to provide some related issues for students in the future research. |

Week 10: Midterm (November 18)
Week 11: Price Dispersion and Search
Week 12-13: Entry Deterrence
Week 14-15: Vertical Integration
Week 16: Advertising
Week 17: Term Paper Presentation
